Second meeting of the Bulgarian Society of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics |
A second meeting of the Bulgarian Society of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics with International Participation was held on 6th and 7th October 2007 in Grand Hotel Sofia with the logistic support of Atlas Consulting Ltd. The forum was carried out under the Aegis of the European Association of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics, Military Medical Academy, Bulgarian Society of Neurology and Society of Vascular Surgeons in Bulgaria. The meeting was dedicated to the problems of carotid pathology and was opened with an international symposium on this topic. The lectures were read by the world-famous scientists from Austria Prof. K. Niederkorn and Prof. G. E. Klein which enriched the knowledge of the participants in the field of diagnostics, medical treatment and prevention of carotid pathology. A round table on the topic “Algorithm for diagnostics and treatment of carotid pathology” was held on the second day. The meeting was attended by two satellite symposiums of the pharmaceutical companies Gedeon Richter Ltd. and Sanofi-Aventis dedicated to the neurogical complications in arterial hypertension and multiple atherotrombosis.
